BLENDED LEARNING, using a range of techniques and processes, is proven to have strong foundations in the latest principles of neuroscience. It is devised in brain-friendly ‘easily digestible’ sections, contextually related to the client’s work situation, for long-term, sustainable outcomes. All LeaderShape programmes work with these principles, and best practice in Work-Based Learning.
What is brain friendly learning? Watch this video to find out.
Social (face to face or remote workshops/masterclasses) learning
Work place learning (so that participants are enabled to practice and refine their new insights and competencies in their daily work).
The proportion of formal to informal learning is optimally 20:80. Clearly the practice of new skills in the workplace is crucial to achieving this balance and so becoming embedded.
We encourage the development of reflective practice throughout the process. Clients deepen their ability to make connections to apply the learning to their own situation in their workplace.
ALIVE Prep is accessed online, (on computer/ via an iPhone app or on a portable tablet). Each person is provided with their own unique log in for their learning programme. ALIVE prep is devised in brief, brain-friendly sections, contextually related to the client’s work situation, for long-term, sustainable outcomes.
Using visual, audio and reflective sections and a range of different stimuli allows learners to engage in ways that are meaningful to them. The brain learns best in small, discrete pieces where there is a clear focus without distraction. Clients see connections to apply the learning to their own situation in their workplace. Reflections are shared with the tutor who supports the process.
The ALIVE prep acts as a crucial primer to ensure that workshop events are engaging and interactive rather than focused on the transfer of knowledge.
I like the variation. I also think it is very well paced. Its really user friendly, the details on each exercise are systematic and set up in a nice methodology for the best learning. Senior Executive
A highly INTERACTIVE approach is taken, using a variety of exercises to suit the topic and engage different learning preferences. These may include a range of activities, for example: small group break out discussions, group or team games, drawing or mindfulness exercises designed to engage and create lasting insights for participants.
